The relationship between siblings Sierra and Will Jennings began when Sierra was born in 1990, Prior to the All About Middle School and the All About Us series.

In the All About Us prequel series, All About Middle School, Sierra had a somewhat friction with her older sister, Will. They were getting on each other's nerves and were fed up with sharing the same room with each other. Despite the friction, Sierra has always admired Will and had things in common each other. They both have type-A personalities and were on student council during their high school educations. They had had relationships with their first boyfriends. In the Earthquake episode, Sierra discovered that Will was having a secret relationship with Ryan Frankel, the ex-boyfriend of one of Sierra's best friends, Alicia Alcott. Sierra then confronted her older sister about it. Will begged Sierra to keep it a secret from Alicia. Sierra was shocked that her own sister would beg her to keep something like this big from her long time best friend.

Later in the episode, the sisters were separated during the Earthquake and the Aftershock, Sierra was looking for her and Will's younger sister, Leslie, while Will was trapped in the destroyed kitchen of the Jennings' household with her ex-boyfriend, Trent Alcott. Will injured her left shoulder in the aftershock and was nearly killed by a falling beam, until Trent rescued her.
