Nikki Merrick grew up in Silver Hills, California, with her wealthy parents, Dr. Aaron and Elizabeth Merrick. Nikki is, throughout the first few episodes, portrayed as a shallow, materialistic gossip who is ditzy, fierce and fashion-forward.
Appearence & Style[]
Nikki was the fashion trendsetter of the AAU teenage foursome and Silver Hills High's fashion queen. She is particularly fond of berets, high heels, and statement jewellery. Her long, dark brown hair also seems to be a source of great pride for her, as it is almost always worn down in elegant curls, and accentuated by accessories such as scarves or headbands. She was also the sole blonde of the group.

Earthquake[]
In the Earthquake 2-part episodes, Nikki gets into an arguement with Sierra and they end their friendship. That night, Silver Hills is hit with Earthquake and Nikki is injured in the leg. She is rescued by Kristy.
Nikki in the City[]
In the spin-off series, Nikki, now 18, has moved to New York City to attend fashion school and intern at a fashion styling firm. She has moved into a New York mansion, with her aunt Francine Quimby and twins, Taylor and Jessica.
